THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB MAKES US OVERCOMERS!
Dear family, we are overcomers because Jesus shed His blood for us on the Cross, and "they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..."(Revelation 12:11 NIV)
Jesus bled seven times to re-establish our relationship and right standing with God, restoring our authority and dominion on Earth. 1.In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus sweated drops of blood, as He struggled to take on all our sins, and to accept Gods will for His life (Luke 22:44). 2.He bled when He was scourged, whipped and beaten, for our sicknesses and diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5).
3.He bled when a crown of thorns was placed upon Him and when His beard was ripped off His face. 4.He was beaten until He was unrecognisable, so that we may have His countenance, and be recognised by God (Matthew 27:29-30).
5.He bled from the nails pierced through His hands, so that He can reach out and embrace us from the Cross. 6.The blood from His feet allowed us to walk free from the penalty of sin. 7.His heart was broken for us when He was pierced by a spear into His side. Blood and water flowed forth, taking our broken hearts, and giving us a pure new heart (John 19:34; Ezekiel 36:26).
